Bethel Memorial Baptist church is located in Palmer Township which is equidistant from two main cities of Easton and Bethlehem. We are thankful for the opportunity to serve the people and families of both cities and the surrounding townships. Through local ministries and outreach events we are able to connect with those around us and provide support to the area that we call home.

Furthermore, as a church, we also support several missionaries that serve in varying capacities in the United States as well as many different countries. As we give monetarily, as well as supporting our missionaries through prayer, we are thankful to be a part of advancing God’s kingdom.

At Bethel Memorial Baptist Church, we celebrate our differences and diversity. We are multi-generational and multi-ethnic, from different socioeconomic backgrounds and different life experiences.  Some of us were raised in Christian homes; some of us met our Lord and Savior as adults. Some of us have walked with the Lord for decades, and some of us are brand new to the faith. Real love and unity isn’t shown when we are all alike. Rather, real love and unity are shown in the face of differences.  We are united in our love of Christ and our love for each other because each person here is important to a healthy vibrant local body of Christ.

“For the body is not one member, but many.” 1 Corinthians 12:14

Ephesians 5:19 says: Speaking to one another in psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing and making music with your heart to the Lord.”

If you join us for a Sunday worship service, you’ll hear all of the above. During our congregational singing, we blend hymns and contemporary praise songs, always with the purpose of uplifting Scriptural truths through our lyrics.  For some songs, the congregational singing is led by our praise team. For others, it is led by an elder. Also, we often enjoy the talents of a variety of our members who will sing or play a solo or a musical interlude.

Although we have individual musical preferences, out of love for one another we seek to have a variety in our worship services. That gives the opportunity for everyone to be touched through the worship in different ways.

We are so thankful that the Lord has blessed us with a multitude of songs and instruments to give Him praise!

Jesus commands his followers in Matthew 28:18 -20 to teach others to obey all things whatsoever he commanded them.  That is the mission behind Bethel Memorial Baptist Church – to make disciples, teach them all of Christ’s commandments, and equip them to duplicate.   We understand that this is an ongoing lifelong assignment given by God and it is the responsibility of every believer and follower of Jesus Christ.  Bethel is committed to making sure that all disciples and members of our church know the God they are following and know His commandments through teaching, preaching,

The vision of Bethel is to minister to and reach out to neighbors outside our church walls.  Although we are a close-knit family of believers and cherish our fellowship and community, we don’t want to overlook the needs of our neighbors.  We have open doors for anyone who wants to be a part of our family or who wants to learn how to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  To accomplish this vision, we do various outreach events every year such as a clothing drive, free car washes, leave raking, Palmer days, and other free services.  We have also held seminars on relevant topics such as depression, addiction, etc.  These events are opportunities for us to connect with people outside our church.

Bethel values the Bible, Worship, and Prayer.  We believe the Bible is God’s word and it leads us to understand and know Him.  God speaks through His word.  The Bible is the foundation and embodies every ministry and action of the church.

Worship is an integral part of our ministry.  We are a musical church with talented worship leaders who understand the importance of music and praise to our God.  We value worship because God values it.  According to Zephaniah 3:17, God rejoices over us with singing.  The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, He will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in His love, He will joy over thee with singing.”  And Psalm 22:3 says He inhabits our praises.

The prayers of our members are what sustains and holds up the church.  We believe that there is no church without prayer.  Jesus said, …for where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.   We value prayer and believe God answers prayer.
