Ken was raised in a Christian family and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at a young age. He received his education in New York. After receiving his bachelor's degree from Columbia College, he took time off and worked in research before deciding to go on to medical school. He attended the State University of New York School of Medicine at Buffalo where he received his medical degree. He returned to NYC for residency training in Surgery and Anesthesia, and then completed a fellowship in Pain Management.
